Taylor Fladgate Late Bottled Vintage Port (LBV) is a premium fortified wine from Portugal's renowned Douro Valley. Taylor Fladgate pioneered the LBV category in 1970, creating a high-quality, ready-to-drink alternative to vintage Port. This wine is crafted from a reserve of full-bodied red Ports sourced from estate vineyards and high-quality partner vineyards in the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior regions of the Douro Valley.

The grapes — including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cão, and Tinta Amarela — are fermented using Taylor Fladgate's pioneering piston fermenter technique (Port Toes), which extracts greater flavor and aroma than conventional methods. Fermentation is halted by the addition of grape spirits, preserving residual sugar and creating this sweet, fortified wine. The wine matures for five years in oak casks to integrate flavors and develop smooth tannins, then is bottled ready to drink — offering similar depth and complexity to vintage Port without requiring extended bottle aging.

On the palate, it delivers powerful dark cherry, black fruit, and herbal aromas with a harmonious, authoritative character. It pairs beautifully with robust cheeses, chocolate desserts, or fresh berries. This LBV has earned 92 points from Wine Spectator and 93 points from James Suckling across recent vintages.
