Concha y Toro Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc is a premium Chilean white wine sourced from the Los Boldos Vineyard in the Casablanca Valley, located 280 meters above sea level just 18 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. Produced since 1999, Terrunyo is made from 100% Clone 1 Davis Sauvignon Blanc vines trained in double Guyot, planted in permeable granitic soils with red clay, colluvial origin, and low organic matter—conditions that promote slow, late ripening and exceptional fruit character.
The wine displays a bright greenish, pale yellow color. On the nose it offers a delicate freshness with aromas of currants, lime, white flowers, asparagus, limestone, and marine-saline notes. The palate is fresh and juicy with crisp acidity and a persistent, mineral, saline finish. The cool coastal climate of Casablanca Valley—characterized by cloudy mornings, cold breezes off the Pacific, and wide diurnal temperature swings—gives the wine its hallmark bright acidity and elegant complexity.
Winemaking is entirely in stainless steel with no oak influence. Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and pressed at low temperatures (9–10°C) using a highly reductive process to preserve freshness. Fermentation lasts 14 days at 13–20°C, followed by periodic lees stirring to add complexity without wood influence. Sold in a case of 6 × 750ml bottles. Pairs well with fresh oysters, seafood, white meats, and light salads.
