Cardwell Hill Cellars Estate Reserve Pinot Noir is a handcrafted, small-production red wine from Oregon's celebrated Willamette Valley appellation. The wine is grown at the estate vineyard situated in the shadow of Marys Peak, the high point of the Coastal Range, which lends the site a relatively cool microclimate ideal for Pinot Noir of elegance and complexity.
This Reserve bottling represents winemaker Dan Chapel's flagship tier, drawing from the estate's best blocks and extended aging. The wine delivers aromas of macerated strawberry, pomegranate, and cola alongside dried herbs and pink peppercorns. On the palate, notes of tart red cherry, red raspberry, and hints of loamy earth and leather build through chewy, structured tannins to a long, textured finish. The wine carries approximately 13.5% alcohol by volume.
The Estate Reserve has earned Platinum recognition (94 points) from Great Northwest Wine and gold medals at both the McMinnville Classic and the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, affirming its standing as one of the Willamette Valley's compelling estate-grown Pinot Noirs. Production is limited to approximately 250 cases per vintage.
