The Carpineto Dogajolo is an approachable Tuscan red wine bearing the Toscana IGT classification, produced by Carpineto, a prestigious estate established in 1967 in Greve in Chianti Classico. The name "Dogajolo" derives from the Italian word "doga," meaning stave — the strips of wood used to construct wine barrels — a nod to the winery's deep respect for traditional craft.

This Super Tuscan-style blend combines 80% Sangiovese with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, with each variety vinified separately in stainless steel before aging six months in French and American oak barrels. The wine has earned 88 points from both Wine Enthusiast and Decanter magazines, making it an outstanding value in everyday Italian reds.

On the nose, the wine opens with inviting aromas of fresh berries, cherries, rose hips, and violets, with underlying hints of coffee, vanilla, and spice. The palate is full and soft, with layers of fruit, loamy earth, and a touch of oak. Clean, juicy acidity and firm but polished tannins provide excellent structure. The alcohol by volume is 13%. Best served at 60–64°F.
