Don Pilar Extra Añejo is a premium tequila crafted from 100% blue Weber agave sourced from five ranches near San José de Gracia in the Los Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco, Mexico. Produced by master distiller Don José Pilar Contreras Marquez, this spirit is made using traditional production methods that honor the heritage of Mexican agave culture.

This extra añejo is aged for three years in American white oak barrels, then finished for an additional four months in French Limousin oak, yielding a deep amber-crimson color with a velvety richness. The nose presents sweet oak and toasty aromatics, while the palate opens to layers of pineapple, chocolate, baked agave, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and butterscotch with hints of cocoa reminiscent of Mexican hot chocolate. Herbal notes of rosemary and mint emerge alongside the agave character, leading to a long, warm finish with a reprise of sweet oak. Bottled at 40% ABV.

Each bottle is individually numbered and hand-signed by Don Pilar, and comes presented in a wooden gift box that tells the story of La Cabalgata, a traditional Mexican celebration of horsemanship, faith, and camaraderie.
