Caymus Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is presented here in a 1.5L magnum format, sold in a case of six. Founded in 1972 by Charlie and Lorna Wagner and their son Chuck in Rutherford, Napa Valley, Caymus Vineyards has grown into one of California's most celebrated producers of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery remains 100% family-owned and operated, now carried on by the next generation of the Wagner family.

This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon draws fruit from vineyards spanning multiple sub-appellations across Napa — from Coombsville to Calistoga — with valley floor sites contributing lushness and mountain parcels providing backbone and structure. Caymus farms on low-fertility soils using high-density plantings, some dry farming, and careful yield thinning to achieve their signature concentrated style. Grapes are harvested at an elevated degree of ripeness to produce a wine that is dark and full-bodied, with rich fruit character and ripe, luxurious tannins.

The wine is known for its approachability from day of release while also being built for long-term aging. Expect deep color with aromas and flavors of ripe dark cherry, blackberry, cassis, and subtle oak. The magnum format is ideal for entertaining and is widely regarded as an excellent format for aging, as the larger volume-to-surface ratio slows the maturation process.
