Bacardi Superior is a light and aromatically balanced Puerto Rican white rum with 40% alcohol by volume. First introduced in 1862 by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó after a decade of perfecting his craft, this rum is widely regarded as the first mixable rum that inspired a cocktail revolution.

Produced using only three ingredients—molasses from sugarcane, yeast, and water—Bacardi Superior undergoes a unique parallel distillation process. The fermented liquid is distilled in two different ways: half is processed in a single run through a column still to create the heavier "aguardiente" spirit, while the other half goes through multiple column stills to produce a lighter "redestilado" spirit. The blend is then aged in American white oak barrels for 12 to 24 months and triple-filtered through a secret blend of charcoal for distinctive smoothness and clarity.

The rum features a clean flavor profile with subtle notes of almonds, vanilla, lime, and tropical fruit. The nose presents almonds and fruit, the palate is smooth and creamy, and the finish is dry, clean, and fresh.
