#15 Oregon Green Austrian Pine, 12.1 Gallon / 45.8 Liter Container

The Oregon Green Austrian Pine (Pinus nigra 'Oregon Green') is a compact, evergreen conifer prized for its dense, dark-green needles and classic pyramidal form. Sold in a #15 nursery container (approximately 12.1 gallons / 45.8 liters), this is a well-established tree ready for landscape planting.

This cultivar was discovered as a seedling selection at Van Meter and Son Nursery in Gresham, Oregon. It grows at a moderate rate of roughly one foot per year, reaching approximately 10–12 feet tall and 8–10 feet wide within 10 years, with a potential mature height around 20 feet. In spring, branches are tipped with showy silvery-white candles of new growth that darken as they mature. Needles are stiff and numerous, providing dense year-round coverage.

Hardy to USDA Zone 5, it performs well in full sun and is adaptable to a variety of well-drained soils. The Oregon Green Austrian Pine makes an excellent specimen tree, windbreak, or privacy screen in home landscapes.
