Premium Sharwil avocados grown on the Big Island of Hawaii. Developed in Queensland, Australia in 1951 and brought to Hawaii in 1966, the Sharwil variety thrives in the Kona region's unique climate. These avocados are known for their rich, buttery taste and smooth, creamy texture due to their high oil content. Each avocado typically weighs between 8 to 16 ounces, featuring a small seed and beautiful green skin that is easy to peel. The Sharwil is a combination of Guatemalan and Mexican strains, making it one of the most popular and sought-after varieties grown in the Hawaiian islands. These avocados are USDA food safety certified and are shipped weekly from Avoland Hawaii to the Kona Costco location.
