Napa Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic Napa Valley red wine produced by the winery founded in 1976 in Oakville, California. Winemaker Joe Shirley sources 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a variety of distinguished Napa Valley vineyards, including Atlas Peak, Oak Knoll, and St. Helena. The wine is bottled at 14.4% alcohol by volume with an acid of 0.55 g/100mL and a pH of 3.77.

Following harvest, the grapes undergo a 12 to 24 day maceration period before the wine is aged for 21 months in 96% French and 4% Hungarian oak barrels. This extended barrel aging contributes to the wine's rich structure and complexity. The 2022 vintage experienced drought conditions paired with an incredibly hot September, resulting in lower yields but highly concentrated grapes with excellent flavors and vibrant acidity.

The wine opens with bold, deep aromas of blackberry, cassis, mocha, plum, and tobacco, accented by hints of vanilla and savory oak spice. On the palate, it delivers dark fruit, toffee, cinnamon, black pepper, and toasted brioche, with a rounded body, supple tannins, and a long, lingering finish with bright acidity. It has earned 92 points from The Tasting Panel, 90 points from Wine Enthusiast, and 90 points from James Suckling.
