Kyoho black grapes are a premium Japanese grape variety renowned for their large, deep purple-black clusters and exceptionally sweet, rich flavor. Originally developed in Japan by crossing Ishiharawase and Centennial varieties, Kyoho grapes are one of the most popular table grapes in East Asia and are prized for their intensely aromatic, melon-like sweetness and abundant juice.
Each grape is notably large with a thick, slightly astringent skin that slips easily from the flesh. The tender, pale-green interior is seeded and bursting with a complex, sweet-tart flavor with notes of grape candy and fresh fruit. The fragrant aroma sets Kyoho grapes apart from common seedless varieties, making them a sought-after seasonal treat.
This Costco offering provides approximately 1.36 kg (3 lb) of fresh Kyoho grapes. They are excellent eaten fresh, and are also used in juices, jellies, wine, and desserts. Refrigerate and consume within a few days of purchase for best flavor and texture.
