Trapper's Creek Smoked Red (Sockeye) Salmon is a wild-caught Alaskan salmon product sold by the pound at Costco's deli counter. The fish is presented in a traditional net casing, a classic preparation for whole smoked salmon. Each unit is approximately 1.5 lbs raw weight, with four pieces per case pack.
Trapper's Creek Smoking Company, based in Anchorage, Alaska, hand-fillets their wild salmon and slow-smokes it over cherry and alder wood for 24 or more hours. The result is a richly flavored, tender smoked salmon that is all-natural, nitrate-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. Red salmon (sockeye) is prized for its deep color, firm texture, and high omega-3 fatty acid content.
