The Wente Vineyards Morning Fog Chardonnay is a flagship California white wine sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards along the Central Coast appellation. Named for the morning coastal fog that rolls in daily from the Pacific Ocean, moderating the growing climate and creating ideal conditions for producing balanced, expressive Chardonnay. Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is one of America's oldest continuously operated family wineries with five generations of winemaking heritage.

The 2024 vintage presents subtle oak nuances of sweet cream and vanilla seamlessly integrated with the bright character of crisp Gala apple, underpinned by hints of fresh-cut pear and lemon curd. On the palate, the wine delivers the hallmark weight and depth of classic Chardonnay, balanced by a refined acidity that brings modest richness while preserving its vibrant, fruit-driven freshness.

Fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and American oak barrels, then aged for five months with the barrel-fermented portion aged sur lie. Lees are stirred monthly to build mouthfeel and complexity. The wine is dry with 2.8 g/L residual sugar and 14% alcohol by volume. Pairs beautifully with soft cheeses, grilled halibut, roasted lemon chicken, and chicken marsala.
