Tequila Ocho Plata is a premium single-estate tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, crafted by master distiller Carlos Camarena and the late Tomas Estes. This award-winning plata (silver) tequila represents the world's first single-estate tequila, with each batch made from 100% blue Weber agave sourced from one specific Camarena family-owned rancho.

The tequila is produced using traditional artisanal methods that have been passed down through generations. Overripe 8-year-old agave piñas are slow-roasted for 48 hours in traditional brick ovens, then allowed to cool for 24 hours before milling. The mash undergoes wild fermentation for 100 hours in open-air vats using natural airborne yeast from Jalisco, with no commercial yeast added. The liquid is double pot-distilled at low temperatures to preserve the delicate agave flavors.

On the nose, Tequila Ocho Plata presents a sweetly floral character with extra ripe agaves, candied fruit, cooked agave, citrus, and black pepper. The palate offers clean mineral notes with citrus, cinnamon, dried fruit, almond, black pepper, mint, tropical fruit, and hints of earth and grass. The finish is long and smooth with a lingering hint of spearmint. This expression is perfect for sipping neat, on the rocks with a large ice cube, or with a splash of soda.
