The vineyard sits at elevations ranging from 1,400 to 1,760 feet on rocky, volcanic mountain soils, where wind exposure and extreme terrain naturally regulate yields and concentrate flavors. This is a powerful expression of high-altitude Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting the distinctive character of the Atlas Peak appellation.

The wine is crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (Clone 337 and Clone 4) and aged in French oak barrels for up to 22 months. On the nose, it opens with deep aromas of black cherries, blueberries, dark chocolate, black currants, and tapenade, with notes of dark licorice, dried herbs, and graphite. On the palate it is massive in concentration, with plump black-fruit flavors enveloped by waves of fine-grained, structured tannins. It finishes with vivid currant and raspberry character alongside firm, age-worthy structure. It carries 14.8% alcohol by volume.
