Planeta La Segreta Il Rosso is a Sicilia D.O.C. certified red wine from Sicily, Italy, crafted by the Planeta family estate. The name "La Segreta" — meaning "the secret" — is drawn from the woodland surrounding the family's Ulmo vineyards, where the Planeta family has cultivated grapes for centuries using sustainable and organic farming practices certified under the SOStain® protocol.

The wine is a blend of 50% Nero d'Avola, 25% Merlot, 20% Syrah, and 5% Cabernet Franc, sourced from estate vineyards at Buonivini, Dispensa, Gurra, and Maroccoli in the Menfi and Noto areas of Sicily. Vineyards are trained using espalier with spurred cordon and Guyot pruning systems, with plant health maintained through natural methods including beneficial insects, sexual confusion, and applications of kaolin and vegetable extracts. The wine earned a first vintage in 1995 and has consistently received scores of 91–92 from James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast.

On the nose, the wine opens with aromas of currants and mulberries with a spicy and minty finish. On the palate it delivers flavors of ripe wild fruit balanced by a full, grassy character. Tannins are soft and well-integrated, giving this wine a versatile, food-friendly personality suitable for everyday drinking. Each bottle contains 750mL and is sold as a case of 12.
