Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märzen is an authentic German beer brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. This amber lager is similar to the brew introduced at the first Munich Oktoberfest in 1810. Full-bodied and flavorful, copper/amber in color with a rich creamy head that laces nicely down the glass. The Märzen style originated from historical Bavarian brewing laws that prohibited brewing during summer months due to fire hazards. Brewers would create a stronger beer in March with higher gravity to last through summer and be served at fall festivals.
