Opaque Petite Verdot is a bold, single-varietal red wine crafted from 100% Petite Verdot grapes grown on estate vines at Quarry Heights in Paso Robles, California. The head-trained vines grow on calcareous shale soils, imparting a distinct minerality to the wine. After harvest, the wine is aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels, developing deep complexity and structure.

On the nose, this wine offers aromas of blackberry, plum, and blueberry with hints of violet, vanilla, and spice. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with rich flavors of dark plum, currant, dark chocolate, and espresso, balanced by firm tannins and a touch of oak. The finish is long and satisfying.

Opaque wines are produced by the Riboli Family of San Antonio Winery, who were named Wine Enthusiast's American Winery of the Year in 2018. The Opaque line is known for bold, unapologetic red wines aged in French oak. Alcohol content: 14.9% by volume. Contains 750ml.
