Kōloa Kauaʻi Dark Rum is a premium Hawaiian dark rum crafted on the island of Kauaʻi. Made from pure cane sugar and pristine filtered water from ancient Mount Waiʻaleʻale, this rum is twice distilled in a vintage 1,210 gallon steam-powered copper pot still at 160-180 ABV. The rum is distilled, blended, and bottled at the Kōloa Rum Company distillery in Kalaheo, Kauaʻi, at 40% ABV (80 Proof).

This dark rum presents a genuinely deep chocolate brown color with a cloying viscosity. The nose is robustly vanilla-driven with subtle notes of dark semi-sweet chocolate, fresh brewed espresso, and chocolate cupcakes. On the palate, it brings forward initial flavors of vanilla, dark molasses, and sweet caramel, with a layer of warming spices underneath, particularly an accent of cloves that adds depth. The finish is dry and highly flavorful, with espresso and dark chocolate notes lingering.

Pairs excellently with salty snacks, tropical fruit, and grilled pork. Ideal for cocktails like Mai Tais, rum and coke, or enjoyed neat to appreciate its complex flavor profile.
