Kirkland Signature Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a premium wine sourced from the renowned Russian River Valley AVA in Sonoma County, California. This highly sought-after Costco exclusive features grapes grown in the warm growing season influenced by Pacific Ocean cooling fog, allowing the grapes to develop rich, full flavors while retaining beautiful acidity.
The wine offers a ruby appearance in the glass with enticing aromatics of cherry, cranberry, and red berry fruit complemented by minty and herbal notes, cola, licorice, rhubarb, and a touch of earth. On the palate, it delivers a smooth mouthfeel with flavors of dark cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, vanilla, brioche, and warm spice notes. The medium-bodied wine features good acidity with a touch of toasty oak, leading to a rich, complex mouthfeel and a dry, long finish with cola, tobacco, and black tea notes.
Cellared and bottled by DC Flynt MW Selections with recent vintages crafted by winemaker Alison Crowe. The wine has a 14.5% alcohol content and is enclosed with a screwcap for optimal freshness. This crowd-pleasing Pinot Noir is consistently rated between 86-89 points by wine critics and is considered an exceptional value for Russian River Valley fruit at its price point. Best enjoyed after giving the wine time to breathe, with even better results on day two.
