Forbes Magazine named The Hitching Post one of the "10 Great BBQ Joints in the USA," praising its unique blend of cowboy tradition with top-tier beef and seafood cookery. The restaurant was also featured in Alexander Payne's film Sideways. Hours are Monday through Saturday 4:30–9:30 PM and Sunday 4:00–9:00 PM.
