Morgan Twelve Clones Pinot Noir is sourced from premier vineyards across the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation on California's Central Coast. In the 2023 vintage, Morgan's own certified organic Double L estate vineyard contributes 65% of the final blend, with the remainder drawn from acclaimed sites including KW, Highlands, Boekenoogen, and Tondre — each contributing the distinct character of 12 carefully selected Pinot Noir clones.

Grapes are hand sorted in both the vineyard and at the winery before being fully destemmed. Whole berry fermentation proceeds with a combination of native and cultured yeasts in small, open-top tanks, preserving freshness and complexity. The wine then ages for nine months in 38% new French oak barrels at 14.1% ABV, integrating subtle oak structure while allowing the fruit to remain expressive.
