The wine is opulent and fruit-forward, featuring aromas of blackberry pie, clove, black licorice, and potpourri. On the palate it delivers rich layers of blackberry, cinnamon, vanilla cream, and orange blossom honey that transition into notes of tobacco leaf and spicy chocolate, finishing dry and silky. Earlier vintages showed friendly cherry fruit, a lick of spice, and medium-bodied structure with silky berry fruit on the finish.
