The Woodinville Whiskey Age Your Own Kit is a complete home whiskey aging experience from Woodinville Whiskey Co., a Pacific Northwest craft distillery known for its grain-to-glass philosophy. This kit lets you take unaged spirit and mature it yourself using a miniature charred oak barrel, replicating the same fundamental process used by professional distilleries.

The kit includes two 750ml bottles of 110-proof White Dog un-aged whiskey, a 2-liter reusable charred oak aging barrel, a pouring funnel, two tasting glasses, and step-by-step instructions. Because of the smaller barrel size, the surface-area-to-liquid ratio is much higher than a full-size barrel, which dramatically accelerates the aging process. Nicely aged whiskey is typically ready in three to six months. The oak barrel can be refilled and reused five or more times, making it a lasting piece of home barware as well as a decorative display piece.

As the whiskey rests in the charred oak, a natural adsorption process draws harsh-tasting molecules to the cask walls while the wood imparts its characteristic color, vanilla, and spice notes into the spirit.
