St. Amant Old Vine Zinfandel is a classic Lodi red wine crafted from Mohr-Fry Ranches vineyards planted between 1901 and 1944, making these among the oldest Zinfandel vines in California. Grown in Tokay Fine Sandy Loam soil on own-rooted, head-trained vines that are certified sustainably grown, this wine showcases the rich heritage of Lodi's old-vine Zinfandel tradition.

This big, ripe, and chewy Zinfandel features notes of raspberry, blackberry, and spicy earth. The grapes are picked ripe and hand sorted, then fermented at cool temperatures for seven days with gentle pumpovers and delestage for balance. The wine is aged for 10 months in 60-gallon American and French oak barrels, with 15 percent new oak and 85 percent neutral oak. A natural malolactic fermentation is completed in barrels. The 2022 vintage has an ABV of 14.0 percent and has earned 92 points from both Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling, along with 17/20 from Jancis Robinson.
