Allegra-D 12-Hour Extended-Release Tablets deliver dual-action allergy and congestion relief lasting up to 12 hours in a 20-count package. Each tablet combines 60 mg of fexofenadine hydrochloride, a non-drowsy antihistamine, with 120 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, a clinically proven nasal decongestant. The formula starts working within one hour and is available behind the pharmacy counter as required by federal law.

Fexofenadine relieves eight allergy symptoms including sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and itchy nose or throat caused by hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. Pseudoephedrine reduces nasal congestion by narrowing blood vessels in the nasal passages to relieve swelling and sinus pressure. The extended-release two-layer tablets are formulated so the outer layer delivers fexofenadine immediately while the inner layer releases pseudoephedrine gradually over 12 hours.

Adults and children 12 years and older should take one tablet with water every 12 hours on an empty stomach; do not exceed 2 tablets in 24 hours. Do not take with fruit juices or aluminum/magnesium antacids. Consult a doctor before use if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, kidney disease, or difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate.
