Ancient Peaks Renegade is a bold red blend from Paso Robles that pushes the envelope and resists conformity. True to its name, this wine is defiantly bold and daringly elegant, combining rich Syrah fruit with the structure and finesse of classic Bordeaux varieties. The blend features Syrah as the dominant grape, accentuated by Petit Verdot and Malbec, though other varieties such as Zinfandel and Petite Sirah have made appearances in different vintages.

The wine showcases intense dark fruit flavors including blackberries, plum, and black cherry, complemented by notes of mocha. Full-bodied and packed with flavor, Renegade has one foot in the Rhône and the other in Bordeaux, creating a unique and compelling wine that reflects the freedom and creativity of California winemaking. Since its inaugural 2009 vintage, Renegade has consistently been one of Ancient Peaks' highest-rated wines, earning a Wine Enthusiast rating of 93 points.

The 2020 vintage presents 14.9% ABV and is crafted from grapes grown at Ancient Peaks' estate Margarita Vineyard in Paso Robles. Each 750mL bottle delivers a harmonious blend of robust flavors that showcase the distinctive terroir of the region.
