Old Lahaina Gold Rum is an authentic Hawaiian rum produced by Maui Distillers, located within the historic Old Paia Sugar Mill in Paia, Hawaii. The rum is crafted from sugar and molasses sourced from Hawaii's HC&S Maui Plantation, using two 500-gallon steam-fired Badger pot stills originally constructed in 1946, one of which is fitted with a multi-tray fractioning column for base rum production. The distillery was conceived in 1999 and began producing rum in 2009.

In the glass, this gold rum presents a coppery brown color with amber hues. The aroma features caramel, butterscotch, and light spice notes with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, flavors of caramel, toffee, and light cinnamon come through with a touch of charred sugar. It is positioned as both a mixer and a sipper, with a short, lightly spiced finish. This 1.0 L bottle is sold exclusively in Hawaii and is available at select Costco warehouse locations in the state.
