Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County is a Burgundian-inspired red wine from one of California's most celebrated and pioneering wineries on the Central Coast. Founded by the legendary winemaker Jim Clendenen, Au Bon Climat — whose name means "well-exposed vineyard site" in French — has spent over four decades crafting wines of balance, restraint, and longevity that rival the great wines of Burgundy.
This medium-bodied Pinot Noir is grown in the cool-climate vineyards of Santa Barbara County, where coastal fog and temperate conditions allow the grapes to develop exceptional complexity. On the palate, the wine delivers lovely plum and strawberry flavors with a touch of spice and earth — a testament to Clendenen's unwavering dedication to Burgundian winemaking principles. Integration of cool-climate grapes with carefully selected French oak barrels yields a balanced wine built for both immediate enjoyment and extended cellaring.
Au Bon Climat earned Robert Parker's "Best Winery in the World" distinction and has long been regarded as a benchmark producer for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in California. This 750ml bottle makes an excellent pairing for a wide range of dishes, from roasted poultry and salmon to mushroom-based preparations and soft cheeses.
