Premium Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye Steak, sold by the pound and available frozen. A5 is the highest grade awarded by the Japanese Meat Grading Association, indicating superior yield and exceptional meat quality with a Beef Marbling Standard (BMS) score of 8-12 out of 12. The ribeye cut features intense marbling that delivers the signature "melt-in-your-mouth" texture and rich umami flavor that Japanese Wagyu is renowned for worldwide.
Each steak is approximately 16 ounces and comes with certification from the Japanese Meat Grading Association verifying its authenticity and grade. The extraordinary fat marbling in A5 Wagyu has a lower melting point than conventional beef, which contributes to the uniquely tender eating experience.
For optimal preparation, defrost in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours, then bring to room temperature 15 minutes before cooking. Season simply with kosher salt to let the beef's natural flavor shine. Pan sear in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes per side without added oil, as the marbled fat renders naturally. Cook to rare or medium-rare (120-125°F internal temperature) to preserve the juicy, tender mouthfeel. Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving in thin portions due to the richness of the meat.
