Domaine Fouassier Sur le Fort is a Sauvignon Blanc from the Sancerre appellation in France's Loire Valley, produced by one of the region's most storied estates. The Fouassier family has cultivated vines in Sancerre since 1742, now in its 10th generation under cousins Benoit and Paul Fouassier. The estate has been certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter) for over 15 years, farming without synthetic inputs.

The Sur le Fort vineyard spans approximately 4.45 hectares in the heart of Sancerre, with vines averaging 25 years old planted in limestone soils. Grapes undergo pneumatic pressing and spontaneous fermentation using native yeast, then age on the lees for one year in stainless-steel tanks, preserving freshness and terroir expression. The wine is bottled at 13.5% ABV.

Tasting notes show a complex nose of golden apple, almond skin, dried peach, orange zest, and white blossom, with a rounded, fruit-driven palate balanced by lively acidity. Wine Enthusiast awarded the 2022 vintage 92 points. Sold in a 12-bottle case format (12/750ml).
