A celebrated Zinfandel from California's Paso Robles wine country, produced by Opolo Vineyards, a family-owned winery established in 1999 by Rick Quinn and Dave Nichols. The Summit Creek Zinfandel is sourced and blended from multiple individual vineyards across both the east and west sides of the Paso Robles AVA, including the Willow Creek District and Estrella District estates, allowing the winery to express the full range of Paso Robles terroir.
The 2022 vintage earned a 90-point score from Wine Spectator, with reviewer Tim Fish calling it "juicy and generous, with easygoing accents of cherry, toasty spices and briar patch that zip along the finish." The wine presents a deep ruby color with aromas of ripe red and dark berries and cherries. On the palate, flavors of raspberry, blackberry, and plum are balanced by peppery spice and smooth tannins, leading to a robust and satisfying finish.
Part of Opolo's Summit Creek line, renowned as a perennial best buy and the nation's third highest-selling luxury Zinfandel, this wine is widely available at Costco, Trader Joe's, Total Wine, BevMo, Albertsons, Raley's, Ralphs, and other major retailers. It offers an exceptional introduction to Opolo Vineyards' signature style of big, fruit-forward Zinfandels with nuance and elegance.
