Martino Viña Violeta Old Vine Malbec is a 100% Malbec red wine from the Fincas Don Martino estate in Agrelo, within the Luján de Cuyo appellation of Mendoza, Argentina. The estate vineyard spans 18.5 acres at 3,850 feet above sea level, where ungrafted Malbec vines — originally brought to Argentina from France — grow in high-altitude conditions that produce exceptional complexity through an extended growing season and large daily temperature swings.

Winemaking is guided by consultant Attilio Pagli, a renowned Tuscan winemaker with deep expertise in Mendoza's old-vine Malbec expression, alongside Sergio Montiel. The wine undergoes classic fermentation with prolonged maceration between 82–86°F, then ages 12 months in second and third use French oak. It is unfined and unfiltered, preserving its natural character and texture.

In the glass, this wine displays a deep ruby red color with bluish highlights. Aromas of sweet plums and red fruits mingle with hints of vanilla, chocolate, and a slight spice. The palate is long and gentle, with soft tannins that finish in a lingering, rich aftertaste. It pairs beautifully with grilled meats and pasta with red sauce.
