The vineyard sits at high elevation in the Salinas Valley, where cool marine air from Monterey Bay and intense sunlight create ideal conditions for Pinot Noir, producing wines of exceptional concentration and vibrant acidity.

The wine consistently earns high marks from critics for its expressive aromatics and layered palate. Typical tasting notes highlight aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, spiced plum, forest floor, bay laurel, and subtle mineral slate, with a palate that balances lush red fruit — sour cherry, pomegranate, black raspberry — against savory elements of dried herbs, loam, and baking spice.
