Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is one of Italy's most celebrated red wines, produced by the Antinori family — one of Tuscany's oldest and most distinguished wine dynasties, with a winemaking heritage dating back to 1385. Since 2011, this wine has been crafted exclusively from grapes grown at the prestigious Tenuta Tignanello estate in the heart of the Chianti Classico production zone, nestled between the Greve and Pesa river valleys in Tuscany.

The wine is made predominantly from Sangiovese with small additions of complementary varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Grapes are destemmed and gently crushed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks over approximately one week, with gentle pump overs and délestage techniques during maceration to preserve elegant, supple tannins. The wine undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation before aging in French and Hungarian oak barriques for approximately one year, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging before release.

In the glass, Marchese Antinori presents a ruby red color with aromas of black cherries, red berries, and raspberry, complemented by floral notes of violets and spicy hints of ginger, cocoa, and cedar. The palate delivers impressive balance between silky texture and a savory, persistent finish with notes of chocolate. The Tignanello estate spans approximately 319 hectares on calcareous rocky soils rich in alberese (marl limestone) and schist, providing ideal conditions for the native Sangiovese grape.
