Villa Cafaggio Chianti Classico Riserva is a DOCG-certified Italian red wine from Panzano in Chianti, Tuscany, produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown in the celebrated Conca d'Oro (Golden Basin), one of the most prestigious wine-growing zones in the Chianti Classico appellation. The estate's documented history traces back to 1408, and Villa Cafaggio has been crafting wines commercially since 1967 under the Farkas family's stewardship.

The wine displays an intense ruby red color with a bouquet dominated by mature fruity notes reminiscent of black bilberries and ripe cherries. On the palate, it delivers juicy black cherry, plum, clove, and mineral flavors with a lingering finish, sweet well-integrated tannins, and beautiful structure and elegance. Complex secondary notes of pipe tobacco, crushed cherry, smoke, and leather add depth.

Winemaking follows traditional methods: grapes are destemmed and gently crushed, followed by alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures in steel vats with pump-overs, then spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 18 months in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least three months of bottle aging before release. This Costco package contains 12 bottles of 750ML each.
