Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced across premier Napa Valley AVAs — including Stags Leap District and Oakville — the wine is blended with small portions of Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec for added depth and complexity. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (approximately 31–38% new) to develop a refined balance of fruit and oak character. ABV is 14.5%.

On the nose, the wine delivers aromas of cherry, purple plum, sage, sandalwood, mint, and vanilla bean.
