Cordero di Montezemolo is a historic estate in La Morra, one of Barolo's most celebrated communes in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. This Barolo DOCG is crafted from Nebbiolo, the noble grape variety behind some of Italy's most prestigious red wines, grown in the limestone-rich soils of the Langhe hills.

The wine presents a deep garnet color with aromas of red cherry, rose petal, licorice, and spice, underpinned by earthy nuances of tobacco and truffle. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with layers of dark fruit, leather, and mineral complexity supported by firm yet fine tannins and bright acidity. It finishes long and elegant, with the characteristic grip and depth that define great Barolo. The wine has earned critical scores in the 92-93 point range from leading publications including Vinous and Jeb Dunnuck, with a drinking window of 15 or more years.

Barolo DOCG requires a minimum of 38 months of aging (at least 18 in oak), giving the wine its characteristic complexity and ageability. It pairs beautifully with braised beef, roasted game, wild mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano-Reggiano or Pecorino.
