A natural cross between Golden Delicious and Red Delicious apples, Ambrosia apples are prized for their distinctively sweet, honeyed flavor with subtle notes of pear and wildflower honey. The apples are medium to large in size with a round to conical shape, featuring a thin yellowish-green skin with attractive red streaks. The cream-colored flesh is fine-grained, crisp, and exceptionally juicy. Ambrosia apples are naturally low in acidity, making them exceptionally mellow and sweet compared to other varieties. They are harvested in the fall and stored in professional cold storage to maintain peak freshness through early summer.
