The wine showcases complex aromatics of cloves, licorice, dark plums, white pepper, graphite, and violet florals, with rich flavors of red and black fruits, wild berries, and blueberries. Aged for 18 months in large wooden foudres (the winery stopped using traditional oak barrels in 2013 to preserve fruit expression) followed by another year in bottle, it delivers a creamy, medium- to full-bodied palate with fine-grained, velvety tannins and a plush, polished finish.
