The name "Trutina" is Latin for "balance," reflecting the winery's philosophy of harmonizing varietals to create a wine greater than its individual parts. Dunham Cellars is based in Walla Walla, Washington, operating out of a converted World War II-era airplane hangar, and has built a reputation over three decades for structured, elegant Washington State reds.

The 2022 vintage is composed of 50% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, and 3% Petit Verdot, aged in a combination of 62% French oak and 38% American oak. On the palate it is lush and concentrated with impressive mid-palate depth, showing ripe blackberry, dark currant, and chocolate flavors through to a long, satisfying finish.
