Tapiz Black Tears is a premium 100% Malbec from the San Pablo Estate single vineyard at 1,400 meters (4,430 feet) above sea level in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. This high-altitude wine is aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels followed by at least 12 months of bottle aging before release, resulting in exceptional depth and complexity.

The wine is dark and full-bodied with floral, spicy, and earthy aromas on the nose. It delivers a rich combination of red and dark fruit flavors including cherry, plum, and blackberry, with a big, chocolatey finish accented by coffee and cocoa notes. Fine but firm tannins provide excellent structure, and the wine benefits greatly from decanting or extended breathing time. Alcohol content is 14.5% with 2.78 g/L residual sugar.
