Franciscan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied California red wine with a deep ruby color and aromas of blackberry and toasted coconut. The palate offers layers of black cherry, dark raspberries, and ribbons of caramel with a silken mouthfeel. The finish features dark berry notes accented with hints of mocha. Flavors include blackberry, cassis, dark cherry, plum, combined with mocha and sweet hints of toasty vanilla.

The wine is made from grapes allowed to hang on the vine as long as possible to achieve optimal ripeness and flavor concentration. After destemming and light crushing, the juice is cold soaked for three days to extract maximum tannins. The wine is fermented on skins before pressing, then aged on American and French oak for 4-6 months. Alcohol content is 14.7%.

Pairs excellently with charred filet, eggplant parmesan, bacon-wrapped dates, beef, hard cheese, and lamb.
