Rodney Strong Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is a medium-bodied red wine sourced from the celebrated Russian River Valley appellation in Sonoma County, California โ one of the premier regions in the world for growing Pinot Noir. The cool, fog-influenced climate of the Russian River Valley produces grapes with outstanding natural acidity and expressive red fruit character that defines this varietal.
This wine pours a pale ruby in the glass and opens with aromas of rose petal, red cherry, and subtle spice. On the palate, flavors of cherry and plum take center stage, with a supple texture and lively acidity that keeps the wine fresh and balanced. Aged predominantly in French oak, the wine develops a gentle toasty vanilla note that adds complexity without overpowering the fruit. The finish is smooth and lingering.
Rated 91 points by Wine Spectator and earning 89 points from CostcoWineBlog.com, this Pinot Noir offers impressive quality for its price point. It pairs well with poultry, pork, salmon, and other lighter meats, and is equally enjoyable on its own. Alcohol by volume is 14.7%. Volume: 750 mL.
