La Scolca Gavi is a classic Italian white wine from the Piedmont region, produced by one of Italy's most historic and pioneering white wine estates. Founded in 1919, La Scolca is widely credited as the first producer of quality Gavi and helped establish modern, temperature-controlled stainless steel vinification to preserve the delicate character of the Cortese grape.

This 750 ML bottle is made from 100% Cortese grapes grown in the steep slopes of the Gavi DOCG appellation in northwestern Piedmont, north of Genoa near the Ligurian Apennines. The wine presents a light straw color with aromas that are fresh, fine, and characteristically Gavi. On the palate it is very dry with pleasantly tart, acidulous notes and a delicate, clean finish. The ABV is 12%.

La Scolca keeps yields well below the legal maximum through severe pruning and thinning, ensuring concentration and typicity. The wine pairs excellently with oysters, shellfish, crab, shrimp, antipasti, fish, seafood, white meats, salads, risotto, and vegetable dishes.
