Glenfiddich 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of the world's most prestigious aged whiskies, distilled and matured for a minimum of four decades in Speyside, Scotland. The Malt Master hand-selects individual casks from some of the oldest in existence, then employs a unique "remnant vatting" technique — marrying fresh selections with remnants of the previous 40 Year Old vatting — a process exclusive to Glenfiddich among all single malt Scotch producers. Fewer than 1,000 bottles are released to the world each year, each individually numbered.

Each bottle is hand-wrapped in hand-stitched calf leather and accompanied by a leather-bound book telling its 40-year story, with a certificate hand-signed by Glenfiddich's longest-serving craftsmen. The bottle is presented in a luxury calf-leather case with an embossed lock and key.

On the nose, this whisky is beautifully rich with layer upon layer of dried fruits, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and ripe black cherries, with waves of gentle wood smoke, polished leather, and cloves. The palate is silky smooth and luxurious — intense dried fruit notes give way to rich fruitcake, dates, raisins, and stewed apples, with gradually emerging dry oak, a hint of bitter chocolate, and the faintest peat. The finish is incredibly long-lasting and complex. Bottled at 45% ABV.
