Domaine de Chêne-Colombe Mâcon Villages is a 100% Chardonnay white Burgundy from the Mâconnais region of southern France. The domaine is a family estate located in the northernmost part of the Mâcon region, just south of the Côtes Chalonnaise, with 3 hectares of Chardonnay planted on south-facing slopes at around 200 meters altitude. The soil is a thin cover of clay over limestone with small white pebbles and fossils, creating a cool, deep environment that encourages slow ripening and the development of complex flavors.

After three hours of pre-maceration and skin contact, the grapes are pressed in a bladder press to extract fruit and aromas without bitterness. Two-thirds of the juice ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with the remainder aged in oak casks. The wine completes malolactic fermentation in late spring and is released after four months of bottle aging.

The wine presents a lively bouquet of green apple and acacia flowers, with crisp, persistent Chardonnay fruit on the palate — notes of citrus, apple, and lemon with a subtle creamy depth. It pairs well with lighter fish, shellfish such as shrimp and crab, cold meats, and poultry, and also serves as an elegant aperitif.
