Lagavulin Distillers Edition is an iconic Islay single malt Scotch whisky that has been crafted with passion and skill since 1816. This limited edition expression undergoes a unique double-maturation process, first aged for 16 years in refill American and European oak casks, then finished in Pedro Ximénez-seasoned re-charred American oak casks with heavily re-charred new oak ends. The Pedro Ximénez sherry cask finish adds layers of sweet, dark intensity to Lagavulin's signature heavily peated character.

The whisky delivers an intensely smoky profile balanced with rich, raisin-sweet flavors from the sherry cask influence. Deep aromas of dark oak, raisins, peat smoke, and espresso lead into a full-bodied palate that is naturally strong, oily, and sweet-spicy. The fruity, raisin-sweet smokiness throughout is rich in dark intensity and roasted malt, with the peat smoke building as saltiness joins, creating a beautifully integrated experience. The finish is exceptionally long and darkly smoky, delightfully warming with deep oak-spiciness and lingering smoke.
