Ridge Vineyards Three Valleys is a Zinfandel-dominant red blend sourced from multiple Sonoma County vineyards, making it the only "multi-vineyard" wine produced by Ridge. The blend typically consists of approximately 70% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 12% Carignane, and 4% Mataro, reflecting a winemaking tradition Ridge has maintained for over 20 years. The wine draws fruit from diverse appellations across Sonoma County, including Sonoma Valley, Russian River Valley, Rockpile, Alexander Valley, and Dry Creek Valley.
Bright acidity and verve characterize fruit from the cooler valley sites, while Rockpile vineyards contribute structure, dark fruit, and minerality. Alexander and Dry Creek vineyards add generous red, black, and blue fruit. Blended together, the result is a complex, layered wine with broad-shouldered structure and expressive aromatics of flowers, spice, and plum. On the palate, it delivers flavors of black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and a touch of jam, with silky tannins and a toasty oak finish. The wine carries 14.5% alcohol by volume and has earned scores of 91โ92 points from critics including Wine Spectator. Sold in a 750ML bottle.
