Stag's Leap Wine Cellars ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium Napa Valley red wine named after the Greek goddess of the hunt. This wine represents the culmination of a hunt for the finest grapes from Napa Valley, combining carefully selected fruit with estate-grown grapes to create a Cabernet Sauvignon of lush fruit flavors balanced by extraordinary structure and elegance.

The 2022 vintage features grapes primarily sourced from Atlas Peak (73%) and Arcadia Vineyard in Coombsville (12%), with the remaining 15% from select sites throughout Napa Valley. Despite the challenges of the third consecutive drought year and a nine-day harvest heat wave, careful vineyard management produced exceptional fruit with riper flavors and softer acid structures.

Tasting notes reveal rich aromas of dark fruits, tobacco, ripe figs, raspberries, and cherry compote with subtle oak. The palate offers a silky mouthfeel leading to a long, savory finish with notes of milk chocolate, dark cherry, and boysenberry. The blend is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.5% Cabernet Franc, and 0.5% Petit Verdot, aged 15 months in 55% new French oak and 45% older French oak. Alcohol content is 14.8%.

This wine pairs beautifully with grilled tri-tip, braised short ribs, pasta with wild mushrooms and prosciutto, or pan-seared rosemary lemon chicken.
